Embark on an authentic Japanese tea ceremony experience as our guest.

The Japanese tea ceremony, known as "Chanoyu" or "Chado," is a profound cultural tradition that transcends mere tea preparation. It involves mindful tea preparation, emphasising harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility. Tea practitioners dedicate years to perfecting their movements. Participants embrace this art form to cultivate mindfulness, forge connections, and discover inner peace through the shared tea experience.

In this workshop, you will acquire the essential etiquette for drinking tea in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, all while seated on tatami mats. Immerse yourself in the tranquil realm of 'The Way of Tea.' You'll be treated to freshly prepared seasonal wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) and a soothing bowl of tea. After the formal tea ceremony, you'll have a hands-on opportunity to master the art of whisking your own bowl of tea.

  • Partake in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony.

  • Receive instruction on proper guest etiquette.

  • Indulge in freshly crafted seasonal wagashi and a bowl of tea.

  • Learn the skill of whisking your own tea.

Duration: approx 60 min
