Join us in celebrating World Mental Health Day, an international day dedicated to global mental health education, awareness, and advocacy. Since 1992, this day has been marked in more than 150 countries, reminding us that mental health is just as vital as physical health. It helps us cope with life’s stresses, realise our abilities, learn, work well, and contribute to our community.
Program
• 11:15am–12:15pm – Community Morning Tea with Mandala Counselling Services
Enjoy a cuppa, connect, and access free mental health resources and support
• 12:45pm–1:45pm – Walk n Talk around Pyrmont Harbour
A lovely walk and a great chance to chat and make new friends
• 1pm–3pm – Introduction to Raffia Weaving Workshop
Unwind and get creative with natural fibres
• 2pm–3pm – Table Tennis Master Class (Beginners)
Learn new skills in a fun and welcoming setting
• 3pm–5pm – Table Tennis Open Play
Stay for a relaxed game and connect with others
All activities are free of charge and you are welcome to join one or more sessions. Bookings are recommended to secure your spot.
This day is more than a program of activities; it’s about standing together for mental health, breaking down stigma, and celebrating the importance of care, community, and connection.

The Pyrmont Community Centre is open Monday to Thursday from 9am to 9pm, Friday from 9am to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
We have a fantastic line up of events for all ages and interests. Whether you're keen to get active, learn a new skill, or meet your neighbours, there's something for everyone – and don't forget, we also have a gym to help you stay in shape!
