Inspire adventure: Greg Mortimer – K2 and Ross Sea

In 1988 Greg Mortimer lead an expedition to sail from Australia into the Ross Sea to attempt the first ascent of the unclimbed and highest mountain in the the Trans Antarctic Mountains. It is an absurd tale of things going wrong. Then in 1990 Greg took part in the second ascent of the beautiful North Ridge of K2. He rates the north side of the Karakoram as one of the world’s greatest places
The Inspire Adventure Series is a regular monthly event aiming to get you inspired by presenters who will be sharing their outdoor adventures through multimedia slide show. Besides watching the presentation and Q&A, there will be a time to connect, chat, exchange ideas, motivate each other – and maybe even to find a partner for your next adventure.
