This September, we're going on walks in Sydney city, with a purpose. Grain Walks is a new series, twice a week, built around small group and 1-on-1 conversation around something you're actually working through. No small talk, just real conversation, one walk at a time.

What's on -

Decision Clinic

Bring the decision you can't make, big or small. Walk it through 1-on-1 with someone who has zero stake in your answer, and give them your fresh perspective in return. Leave with a plan, a decision made, or simply a new way of looking at it.

🗓️ Thursday, 3 September, 6:10pm | Meet @Barangaroo House

Hot Take & Tea

Is social media making people more honest or more performative? This and many more thought provoking questions we'd love to hear your take on.

Bring the opinion you actually have, not the safe one. Share, disagree, or change your mind halfway through a sentence.

🗓️ Sunday, 6 September, 10:00am | Meet @Bourke St Bakery Surry Hills

I Said I Would

...and then I didn't. Life keeps getting in the way of the hobby, the side hustle, personal growth, the childhood dream. Let's take a closer look at what we keep putting off and reignite it, together.

🗓️ Wednesday, 9 September, 6:10pm | Meet @Barangaroo House

Time Audit

Map out and audit your time with other people, find the hours you didn’t know you had

🗓️ Sunday, 13 September, 10:00am | Meet @Bourke St Bakery Surry Hills

What Are You Working On?

A chat about the things you're actually working on, a hobby, personal growth, a side hustle, something else entirely. A moment to break down the complexity with others, celebrate the wins, and normalize the failures.

🗓️ Thursday, 17 September, 6:10pm | Meet @Barangaroo House

Half Baked

The plan, the business, the art, whatever you've been sitting on. Everyone else is showing something in progress too. Not politeness, not feedback, just people in the same spot giving you the nerve to move it forward. Because otherwise, when does it actually happen?

🗓️ Sunday, 20 September, 10:00am | Meet @Bourke St Bakery Surry Hills

Philosophy Tea

Is a good life a happy one, or just a comfortable one? Would you take the machine that guarantees pleasure but isn't real? For the people who always ask the deeper questions

🗓️ Saturday, 26 September, 10:00am | Meet @Bourke St Bakery Surry Hills

Format

Weekday walks run 6:10pm to 8pm at a relaxed pace along the harbour, taking in Barangaroo, Pyrmont, Darling Harbour, and the Harbour Bridge, with several stops to reconvene as a group. Grab a bite or drink from venues near the meeting point. Weekend sessions are park or cafe sit-downs, 10am to 12pm.

Please note

Grain Walks is a peer conversation series, not a professional service. No legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice is given, views shared are personal opinions only. Please don't bring alcohol or illicit substances, and be respectful of public spaces per City of Sydney guidelines.
