Full Day Ceramics with Christian Bonett: Sydney Opera House

When

Tuesday 7 July from 9:30am to 4:15pm

Join award winning artist and sculptor Christian Bonett for the next installment of his Sydney harbour clay series at WWAS.

This workshop is designed to inspire creativity through clay, guiding students in the development of hand-building and glazing techniques to create a playful ceramic sculpture based on Sydney’s iconic Opera House at the most colourful time of the year - VIVID Sydney.

Foundational skills in slab construction, coiling, and joining will be demonstrated throughout the process, making it accessible to participants of all skill levels.

Please ensure to bring a water bottle, snacks, lunch, and a jacket.

If your teen is coming and going independently, please complete the waiver giving permission for them to leave at the end of the class.

Please note: Students are required to remain on-site during their lunch and morning tea breaks

In order to reduce the amount of unclaimed works from the school holidays and be more sustainable in our art making, an additional cost of $8 is payable if you wish to have your child's work glazed and fired.

Please note this is not a wheel throwing class.

All pottery must be collected within 4 weeks after completion. We are unable to store items beyond this time frame due to limited space, to make room for new work and maintain a safe and organised environment in the school. WWAS takes no responsibility for loss or breakage.
