Every day, 3:30pm to 5:30pm Thursday 24 October to Thursday 12 December
Join City of Sydney youth workers and Glebe Rowing club in this affordable learn to row program for high schoolers aged 12-18.
We offer an 8-session course to teach sweep-oar rowing (rowing in 8s and 4s) and sculling (rowing in quads).
In the first session, you will learn the basic rowing techniques on an indoor rowing machine, as well as, becoming familiar with our rowing shed and rowing boats. In sessions 2-8 you will be rowing in beautiful Blackwattle Bay (unless the weather won’t allow doing so).
You will be allocated a team of 4 to 8 rowers (with everyone getting a turn to cox) and step by step we will teach you how to row. The course is run by experienced rowers and coaches. They will help you through these 8 weeks and keep you safe and dry.
Registration is essential. To register complete the pre-exercise form and then contact us on 0461 239 777
