Sunday 30 August from 4am to 9am
Experience the thrill of the Sydney Marathon from the most iconic vantage point in the city
Join a special event Dawn Climb during the Sydney Marathon 2026 and watch the race unfold from above as the city comes alive beneath you.
You’ll journey along the lower arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge on a unique Climb route, including rarely accessed sections and two exclusive crossings. From your elevated position above the course, you will witness runners and wheelchair athletes powering into motion in the opening moments of the race - a perspective very few will ever experience. This is more than just a view, it's the start of the action unfolding directly below you.
As first light breaks across Sydney Harbour, you’ll move through the steel heart of the Bridge above the Bradfield Highway, stepping through one of the city’s most iconic structures as thousands of athletes surge towards you in a wave of colour, pace and anticipation.
After the start, continue your Climb to the Summit, where your Bridge Tour Guide will bring the story of the Bridge to life, from its bold engineering to the people who shaped it.
Take in 360-degree harbour views, watch the city fully awaken below, and see the race already in full flow. This truly one-of-a-kind Dawn Climb combines exclusive event access, a unique experience and unforgettable Summit views.
