School holidays: Mythical metal keyrings, 10–13yrs
Tuesday 7 October from 9am to 12:30pm
Kids will get an introduction to silver smithing in this 3.5-hour school holiday workshop in the jewellery studio at Pine Street Creative Arts Centre.
Under the guidance of an experienced tutor, kids will first map out their ideas and designs on paper. They’ll then learn basic silver smith techniques to craft their base metal mythical creature keyring. To finish their design, they’ll use techniques like polishing or roller printing to create textured surfaces.
At the end of the workshop children get to take home their handmade creations to attach to their school bags or to use as a keyring.
All materials are provided.
Intimate class size: maximum 8 students
Level: designed for beginner level students
Wear: comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes
