Thursday 25 September from 10:30am to 11:30am
Little Artists at Juanita Nielsen Community Centre: Toys
Children will explore the theme of toys and using toys as art making tools to create artwork. After a group discussion on everyone's favourite toys, children will engage in expressive and process driven art making. Forget traditional art making materials such as brushes and pencils - this session is all about play and experimentation, exploring the process of making art. Children are encouraged to think creatively and use toys such as balls, wind up toys and cars to create interesting marks, patterns and textures in this explorative art making activity.
Spark your child’s creativity with Little Artists art workshops, led by professional art educator Sam Relihan. Designed for children aged 2 to 5 years, these sessions combine storytelling, sensory play and hands-on art making.
Each workshop offers a fun, welcoming space for children to explore their creativity while developing fine motor skills. It’s a fantastic opportunity to bond, get messy, and ignite imagination in a relaxed, playful setting.
A parent, grandparent or carer is also required to attend and encouraged to join the fun.
These workshops take place fortnightly on Thursday mornings. Bookings essential as spaces are limited.
