Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace is celebrating the legacy of beloved actor Sam Neill with some of his most iconic works back on the big screen from July 30 to August 9 in a mini retrospective.
Once described as a “character actor in a leading man’s body,” Sam leaves behind an incredible body of work and we’ve carefully curated a selection of his best.
From his breakout role in Gillian Armstrong’s 1979 Aussie classic My Brilliant Career, to his most iconic role in Steven Spielberg’s mega blockbuster Jurassic Park, cult sci-fi horror Event Horizon, and modern-day New Zealand comedy classic Hunt for the Wilderpeople, along with other favourites.
We’re thrilled to give audiences the rare chance to see these phenomenal films back on the big screen, and to celebrate the life and legacy of a one of a kind and extremely versatile acting talent who will be greatly missed.
