Thursday 6 August from 6:45pm to 9:30pm
Common Wealth is an intimate yet globally minded documentary, following filmmaker Kane Guglielmi's personal journey to question the economic and political systems that shape modern life.
See a screening of Common Wealth at Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace on August 16 with a live Q&A with special guests David Pocock (independent senator), Edwina Bartholomew (journalist, Sunrise) and Rob Stokes (Faith Housing Australia).
Raised with a conservative, capitalist worldview, Guglielmi travels across eight countries, including Switzerland, Australia, Norway, Mexico, Singapore, the UK, Italy and the USA, exploring alternative models that prioritise compassion, fairness, community and shared prosperity.
What begins as a search for answers evolves into a thoughtful exploration of how societies might build greater unity and equity in an increasingly divided world. Gentle in spirit yet ambitious in scope, Common Wealth is both a deeply personal story and a hopeful call to reimagine the structures that define how we live together.
