The site-specific installation is part of the Transience series. The assemblage has had many lives and continues to evolve. With each iteration, materials and objects enter and leave the installation, reflecting the shifting concerns, questions, and experiences that occupy its maker at that moment.
The current presentation emerged from a week spent in different corners of OK Cool, taking in the sights, sounds, scents, and, of course, the exceptionally good coffee.
OK? Ok, ok…_is presented as part of [_Ceramic Business District](https://brandx.org.au/ceramicbusinessdistrict/) for Sydney Craft Week. Running from 9 – 18 October 2026, Sydney Craft Week celebrates creativity and the handmade in all its forms.
Wong Ching Yee (Jenny) 黃靜儀 is a Hong Kong-born, Chinese-Australian art worker. She is currently based in Gadi/Sydney following a decade of international nomadism.
Jenny works across ceramics, non-lens-based photography, moving image, and research-and-site-responsive installations. Through material investigation and object-centred inquiry, her studio practice speaks to belonging, transcultural narratives, and the layered stories embedded within objects and places.
For Jenny, art is a conduit through which she learns about the world, connects with people, and better understands herself. Alongside exhibiting and facilitating workshops in Australia and internationally, she works in museums. She draws on object-based learning pedagogy to foster curiosity, critical reflections, and dialogues across disciplines, cultures, and perspectives.
