With the use of textiles, sculpture, weaving, installation, and maker-based practices, established and emerging artists will respond to the theme in ways that are personal, provocative, and humorous.
Co-curated by Kirsten Fredericks and Taz Mackay.
At its heart, this exhibition is about community. Craft has long been a language of connection—stories stitched together, knowledge shared across generations, and conversations woven through collective making. Diverse voices and interpretations sit alongside one another, revealing the unexpected threads that bind us.
Playful, provocative, and deeply tactile, the exhibition reveals craft itself as a beautiful trap – drawing us in before exposing something unexpected.
