Thursday 16 July from 9:30am to 12:30pm
In this energetic, imagination‑driven course, young artists dive into the world of soft sculpture, transforming everyday materials into vibrant, tactile creations.
Kids explore how fabric, colour, and texture can come together to form expressive 3D artworks — from whimsical creatures to abstract shapes bursting with personality.
Guided by the colourful style of artist Mika Moro, students experiment with:
Fabric sculpting shaping, stuffing, twisting, and layering textiles
Painting on fabric using bold colours, patterns, and expressive marks
Batting and stuffing techniques creating soft, squeezable forms
Sequins and embellishment adding sparkle, texture, and flair
Kids learn to think like sculptors while working with materials that feel friendly, flexible, and fun. Each session encourages experimentation, storytelling, and creative confidence.
Students will have a morning or afternoon tea break, and a lunch break if they are booked in for a full day. Breaks are supervised and usually held outside in our beautiful garden (weather permitting).
Please ensure your child brings a water bottle, snack and/or lunch, and a jacket each day.
