Believe is a new free jazz supergroup comprising four of the most inventive improvisers and composers in Sydney’s creative music scene. Drummer and composer Laurence Pike has released four solo albums and worked with groups such as Triosk, Szun Waves, PVT and Liars. Bassist Clayton Thomas spent over a decade in Berlin, recording with artists such as Ken Vandemark and Paul Lovens, and founded the Now Now festival of spontaneous music in Sydney. Keyboardist Novak Manojlovic was the recipient of the 2019 Freedman Fellowship (Jazz) and is Artistic Director at SIMA, and alto saxophonist Peter Farrar has toured with trumpeter Wadada Leo Smith and recorded with jazz pianist Mike Nock.
