Participants will begin with some of the fundamentals of animé and manga drawing before exploring facial features, expressions and character design inspired by the Straw Hat Pirates. The session will then progress to full head to toe character drawings.
This workshop is suitable for beginner and intermediate artists, animé and manga fans, or anyone interested in developing their drawing skills and trying something new.
All materials are provided.
About the facilitator
Matthew Lin is a graphic designer and illustrator with more than 30 years of experience across publishing in Australia and the United States, advertising and toy design, including projects for McDonald’s, Nestlé and Disney.
He regularly delivers drawing workshops covering animé and manga characters, imaginative creatures, typography and cartoon styles, sharing practical techniques and shortcuts in a clear and accessible way.
