Saturday 18 April from 11am to 3:30pm
Pop in and out, or stay for the whole session. Its up to you!
A free joyfully inclusive fabric workshop led by fashion designer Gary Bigeni, with a public exhibition in June 2026. These workshops are for autistic, neurodivergent, disabled and CALD LGBTQIA+SB adults.
A calm-but-fun creative space for grown-ups who like fabric and dislike being put on the spot. This workshop is about texture, layering and letting your hands do the talking .
You might: work quietly, create a tote bag, embellish some clothes from home, chat softly, add a detail to a shared jacket, write an artist note or ghost that option entirely. Just good fabric and gentle joy.
Access information: the venue has automatic door entry, level access, and air-conditioning. Accessible toilets are located nearby, and the space is wheelchair accessible. We aim to create a relaxed, sensory-aware environment.
Lighting is soft and not harsh, and you are welcome to move around, take breaks, or step outside at any time. There is no pressure to talk, share, or complete anything — you can participate in whatever way feels right for you. Support people are welcome to attend. If there is anything that would help you feel more comfortable, please let us know.
