Cost

Adult: $375.00Concession: $300.00

Get your hands dirty and discover the rewarding process of throwing clay. In this directed 6-week course, get a fun introduction to wheel work with our experienced tutors. 

Learn correct posture, centring, throwing and turning your vessel, and how to open and finish the form.  

This course is for complete beginners with a focus on process and technique rather than production.    

This course takes place on Sundays over 6 weeks:  

  • Week 1: 2 August, 1:30pm to 4pm 

  • Week 2: 9 August, 1:30pm to 4pm

  • Week 3: 16 August, 1:30pm to 4pm

  • Week 4: 23 August, 1:30pm to 4pm

  • Week 5: 30 August, 1:30pm to 4pm

  • Week 6: 6 September, 1:30pm to 4pm

Maximum 10 students.  

  • Level: designed for beginner level students 16+yrs 

  • Wear: comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes (trousers recommended)  

  • Bring: please bring your own apron and towel 

Your works will be fired and ready to collect around 4 weeks after the course. We are unable to fire pieces made outside of the course.
