Thursdays, 8pm to 9:30pm Thursday 16 October to Thursday 18 December

Expand your language skills by immersing yourself in the Cantonese culture and practicing speaking, reading and writing skills. This course helps you to deepen your existing language skills whilst building and extending them. 

We will focus on grammar knowledge, fluency and conversation skills in a range of contexts. We will build on your vocabulary and pronunciation skills, and practice in class, so you will be able to speak Cantonese with confidence and enhance your work skills.

This course is held online via the Zoom platform, and our skilled and professional Cantonese language tutor will be able to help you master the language from your own home.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this intermediate Cantonese course, you should be able to enhance your career prospects by:

  • Discuss past experiences

  • Ask information using "how often?", "how long?" and "when?"

  • Describe countries and cities

  • Talk about your favourite place

  • Talk correctly on the telephone and leave messages

  • Invite someone out

  • Build and extend your grammar knowledge

  • Speak more confidently with correct pronunciation and extended vocabulary - topic-based conversations and discussions

  • Explore and deepen your Cantonese reading and writing skills

  • Use conversational skills to solve problems, ask questions, to participate in the exchange of views according to the language etiquette

  • Appreciate the language culture, geography and customs.
