Tucked away in a tiny laneway in Sydney’s CBD, Cantina OK! is known as Australia’s smallest bar – and one of its most acclaimed. Guests from across the globe come here for its famous Margarita OK!, officially recognised as one of the top five cocktails in the world.
In this 60-minute class, you’ll step behind the bar to learn how Cantina OK!’s team make their signature Margarita OK! and a Spicy Pineapple Margarita. Every drink is prepared the same way it is for guests: with limes pressed to order and hand-shaved ice – a technique that has become the heart of the bar’s service.
Along the way you’ll hear the stories behind some of the rarest agave spirits in Australia, including an Espadín mezcal crafted by Paula Aquino, one of Oaxaca’s few female producers. Each spirit reflects the long-standing relationships Cantina OK! has built with small Mexican producers since 2017.
