This round of Messina Eats is a collab with our really cool mates at Frankie’s Tortas & Tacos, the Fitzroy legends behind some of the best carnitas we've had (obviously consumed for research purposes only)
Carnitas Tacos (3 for $28)
Pork shoulder slow cooked with cinnamon, orange and garlic, topped with both a spicy red and tangy green salsa
Beef Tacos (3 for $30)
Tender braised pull apart beef brisket and short-rib in mole a richly spiced thick traditional gravy from Oaxaca
Mushroom Tacos (3 for $24)
Field Mushrooms roasted and grilled with our secret dry spice blend, topped with a smokey tomato salsa and pickled red onions
Pollo Torta ($23)
Crumbed chicken breast deep fried and lightly spiced served in a long roll with jalapeno mayonnaise, refried black beans, crisp salad and our “Abuelita” chilli vinegar
Corn Chips & Guac ($14)
Surely you saw this one coming...crispy La Tortilleria corn chips, lightly seasoned and served with tangy creamy guacamole studded with mild chilli flakes and finely chopped red onion

Chocolate mudcake,c aramel flan, Fior Di Latte gelato, hot churros and chocolate sauce.
