This class is great for anybody considering getting their own hive or for those who simply want to learn about bees first-hand and up-close.

We will start with an overview about how bees live, breed, and how they often move into the walls of homes. Then we will open several hives to see first-hand how they build their combs and store their nectar/honey/pollen. We will find the queen and spot her eggs. We will see larvae of different ages and usually see bees hatching out of their cocoons. We will also taste different batches of honey from local hives.
