Weekdays, 10am to 3pm Monday 6 July to Thursday 30 July
Celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC through a visual journey of the official posters from 1972 to 2026.
'50 years strong: the NAIDOC poster story' traces the evolution of one of our most significant celebrations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements. The exhibition invites you to explore the changing voices, movements and milestones that have shaped NAIDOC's legacy.
The themes, artwork and stories of these posters have reflected the aspirations, resilience and strength of First Nations peoples for over 5 decades. From the early years of activism and self-determination to contemporary celebrations of culture, leadership and community, each poster captures a moment in time and tells part of a much larger story.
We aim to present inclusive and accessible events. If you have any particular access or communication needs please contact 119 Redfern Street on 119RedfernStreet@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au or call us on 02 9265 9333.
