Yirranma Place Youth Week creative workshop

We are excited to invite you to a creative and engaging school holiday workshop designed for you and your kids in celebration of Youth Week 2025 at Yirranma Place! This is a wonderful opportunity to come together, spark creativity, and honour the incredible potential of young people as they shape the future.

This year’s Youth Week Theme "We are the future, and the future is now!" is about celebrating every young person’s unique strengths and recognizing their individual and collective power as our current and future influencers, leaders, and decision-makers.

What to Expect

Reverse Garbage Cardboard Loom Weaving Workshop – Reverse Garbage is an incredible organisation committed to environmental sustainability by repurposing industrial discards into creative resources. Their work not only reduces waste but also inspires communities to think creatively about sustainability. During this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the art of cardboard loom weaving, a fun and engaging way to turn recycled materials into beautiful creations.

Two Good Co. Delicious Lunch – Between the workshops, we’ll be treating you to a delicious, nutritious, and thoughtfully prepared lunch by Two Good Co., a social enterprise dedicated to serving incredible meals while supporting women in need.

Functions of Fun Native Flower Drawing Workshop – Unleash your inner artist and celebrate the beauty of Australia’s native flora with a guided drawing workshop. This session will explore creative techniques to illustrate native flowers, helping young people connect with nature through art.
