Tuesday 23 June from 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Take part in a guided community conversation about gender, stereotypes and expectations.

These ideas can influence how people see themselves and others, and how relationships are experienced at home, work and in the community. This session offers space to reflect on these influences and consider their impact on everyday life.

Using guided conversation cards, participants will explore  how gender expectations appear in their own experiences.  The session also looks at practical ways to challenge harmful stereotypes and support safer, more respectful communities.

Together, with support from facilitators at the Women's and Girls’ Emergency Centre, we’ll unpack how these beliefs impact our lives — and what we can do differently.

We aim to present inclusive and accessible events. If you have any access or communication needs please contact Jana Hawkins-Andersen, programs coordinator on 02 9265 9333 or jhawkinsandersen@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au
