Join Inner City Legal Centre and a panel of proud transgender community members as they share personal stories of living, loving and working in the local community. The discussion will explore the reality of living authentically as a transgender person in 2025 and the ongoing fight for true equality for the transgender community. 

Panel members include:

  • Chantell Martin (She/Her)​ – Chantell is a proud Maori trans woman, hailing originally from Aotearoa/New Zealand. She has a long history of working in the community, holding positions at SWOP, ACON and the Gender Centre. 

  • River Neyland (They/Them)​ – River is a counsellor at Kirketon Road Centre in Kings Cross, bringing academic expertise and knowledge gained from lived experience. They have spent 6 years navigating the complexities of human services with a focus on the most vulnerable. 

  • Skye Paez (She/Her) – Skye is a proud trans woman living in Sydney. As a performer, flight attendant and activist, she speaks about trans acceptance to ensure the next generation of trans and gender diverse people live a life free from discrimination and harm.
