In over four decades in sports journalism Tracey Lee Holmes has broken barriers, shared untold stories, and challenged the traditional boundaries between sport and politics. Now, with her signature insight and fearless honesty, the acclaimed journalist reflects on her extraordinary experiences in her powerful new memoir The Eye of the Dragonfly.

Join Holmes in conversation with her husband, fellow author Stan Grant, for an intimate chat exploring her remarkable life and memoir. A candid discussion of stories behind Holmes' career, her views on major issues in sport and her journey across continents, cultures, and identity.

Tracey Holmes is one of Australia’s most recognised and regarded journalists. Her work is focused on the intersection where sport meets politics, business, culture, and news. Her weekly podcast, The Sports Ambassador, explores in detail the stories behind the headlines, it can be found on Patreon, Spotify, YouTube and across most social media platforms. As Deputy Chair of the Oceania Australia Foundation, a Council Member of Indigenous Football Australia, a member of the IOC Press Committee, and a Mentor for the IOC Young Reporters program, Tracey is actively involved in promoting sport as a tool for social change and empowerment. Tracey has a Master’s degree in Communications, is currently studying a Master’s in Sports Diplomacy at the Hungary University of Sports Science, and (when time permits) will finish her Master’s in Sports Law at Melbourne University

Stan Grant is a Wiradjuri and Kamilaroi man. He is a public intellectual who has worked as a journalist, presenter, filmmaker and author. In his journalism he has reported from more than 80 countries, won three Walkley Awards, a Logie Award and four Asia TV Awards. As a writer he has published seven books including the bestselling Talking to My Country, which won the Walkley Book Award. In 2016, he was appointed to the Referendum Council on Indigenous recognition. In 2018, he was appointed Professor of Global Affairs at Griffith University. The full-length documentary film The Australian Dream won the 2019 AACTA Award for best feature documentary and the 2019 Walkley Documentary Award. In 2020, he became the International Affairs Analyst at the ABC and the Vice-Chancellor's Chair of Australian-Indigenous Belonging at Charles Sturt University.
