Join film critic CJ Johnson for a one-off lecture to celebrate some of the greatest Christmas movies of all time, including some you may have never seen.
The Christmas movie is a beloved tradition, and none are more joyous, funny and romantic than the charming Christmas films of the 1940s, which were made by some of the greatest comedy directors in Hollywood. Johnson has carefully curated a selection of films to be revealed in the lecture. Simply prepare to be surprised and delighted!
CJ Johnson has been a film critic for ABC Radio since 2008, currently appearing on Afternoons, Evenings and Nightlife. He is Vice President of the Film Critics Circle of Australia, he lectures at Sydney Film School and is a voter for the Golden Globes. In May 2025, Johnson served as President of the Jury of International Film Critics for the main competition at Cannes Film Festival.
