Saturday 6 December from 6pm to 9pm
Mahalia Barnes and The Soul Mates are excited to return to the Art Gallery with brand new music and some festive tunes.
Barnes has been around music her entire life. Throughout her childhood years she was exposed to everything from Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett to Ike + Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder, all of which helped shape her into the powerhouse soul and blues vocalist that has jaws dropping every time she picks up a mic.
Doors open at 6pm. Until 7.30pm, you are welcome to buy light refreshments from the Members Lounge and pop-up bar, and to enjoy a private exhibition viewing of Dangerously Modern: Australian Women Artists in Europe 1890–1940.
