Sydney Mardi Gras 2026 volleyball tournament

Every day, 10am to 6pm Saturday 21 February 2026 to Sunday 22 February 2026

To celebrate Sydney Mardi Gras in 2025, Perry Park Recreation Centre will be hosting a social volleyball tournament on February 21 and 22 in 2026.

The event will be supported by the Freezone Volleyball Club. The event will feature music and activities. Teams are encouraged to come dressed in their best and most colourful outfits. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed teams and more.

The event will run over 2 days:

  • Day 1: Saturday February 21, 10 am to 6pm – Men's and women's competition round robin and finals games.

  • Day 2: Sunday February 22 , 10am to 6pm – Mixed competition round robin and finals games.

The number of teams we can accommodate is limited, and divisions will be determined closer to the tournament start date. You can enter a team for men’s, mixed or women’s divisions (final divisions depend on registrations received). Round robin games to be umpired by duty teams. Umpires will be provided for all finals games.

Fees

The cost of the registration will be $290 per team. Places are limited and will be on a first in, first serve basis. 

Registration

You can register your team from 10am Monday 03 November, 2025, by emailing Perry Park Recreation Centre via Recreation@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au. Registrations will not be accepted prior to this date.

Please include the details of your team, including the team’s name, preferred division, and level of competition you compete at. We will do our best to provide even divisions, but this depends on the overall registrations of the competition. This event is strictly 18+.

Food and drinks

Food and drinks will not be provided at the event. There is a kiosk at the Centre where items can be purchased, including tea and coffee. There is no alcohol allowed at the Centre.

Insurance

No injury insurance is provided. Participants play at their own risk. If you have any concerns about participating in the sport, please speak with your medical professional. All participants will be required to sign an enrolment form and waiver.
