From Bloomington to the world! Durand Jones & The Indications’ brand of tough soul and energetic live shows find a perfect home away from home for our Switched On series.

From the basement in Indiana, where they recorded their 2016 self-titled debut LP as university students, they’ve catapulted into the soul limelight and onto the international stage. Pushing beyond the boundaries of funk and soul on their previous releases, The Indications' third album, Private Space, unlocks the door to a wider range of sounds, boldly launching into a world of synthy modern soul and disco beats dotted with strings.

Anchored by a crate-digging sensibility and the high-low harmonies of Aaron Frazer and Durand Jones, Private Space showcases The Indications' mastery at melding revival sounds with a modern attitude. It’s an organic, timeless record that’s as fresh as clean kicks and as familiar as your favourite well-worn LP.
