City Recital Hall and Bluesfest welcomes back Grammy-winning artist Allison Russell for a highly anticipated performance, marking her return to Sydney after a two-year absence and her first performance at the Hall.

Known for her emotionally charged music and powerful storytelling, Russell has redefined what it means to be an artist in the 21st century. A self-taught singer, songwriter, poet, activist, and multi-instrumentalist, she has captivated audiences worldwide with her unique ability to weave personal and universal narratives into her music.

Russell's latest tour follows the success of her critically acclaimed albums Outside Child and The Returner, which have earned her numerous accolades, including a Grammy for Best American Roots Performance and the Juno Award for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year. Accompanied by her Rainbow Coalition Band—a talented ensemble of Black, POC, queer, and historically marginalized musicians—Russell will deliver a performance that is both intimate and expansive, exploring themes of survival, liberation, and community.

This concert promises to be a profound musical experience, filled with the lush, soulful sounds that have made Allison Russell one of the most compelling voices of our time. Don’t miss this opportunity to see her live in the stunning setting of City Recital Hall.
