A rambunctious dark comedy that offers a raw and unfiltered glimpse into the lives of working-class Brits in the late 1970s.

Dave and Linda have unknowingly chosen the same trashy Liverpool nightclub for their respective stag and hen nights. All is seemingly going well, that is until Linda’s ex-boyfriend – a now famous musician – comes into the picture and Linda is faced with the decision of escaping where she grew up or settling for what she already has.

Set in the ladies and gents restrooms, Willy Russell deftly reflects the personal turmoil, societal pressures, and aspirations of each character, all through side-splitting dialogue that is seamlessly hilarious and thought-provoking at the same time.

Prepare for an exuberant group of characters, all attempting to break free from the world that they know whilst staying true to the societal norms that shape their ferocious loyalty to one another.
