Shades of Grey - Tonal Painting with Kevin McKay

Using a palette of 3 foundational colours, artist Kevin McKay will introduce students to tone and shade in painting.

This 5-week course will lead you through the essential skills needed to compose a painting in correct proportion, and to model 3 dimensional effects of light and shadow using an astonishing range of greys. You will learn how to draw and paint from life and with reference to modern masters.

This class is suitable for complete beginners as well as students who wish to refresh or develop their painting foundations.

Essential materials are included.
