Thursday 9 April from 10:30am to 12pm
Join us for a fun crafting adventure that’s good for the planet and great for building creativity.
Give old t‑shirts a brand-new life in this hands-on, eco‑friendly workshop. Kids will learn how to turn a pre‑loved shirt into a colourful, durable library bag, perfect for carrying their favourite books home.
Using simple techniques like cutting, knot‑tying and braiding- transform fabric into something both practical and creative. No sewing machines required – just imagination, scissors and the power of re‑use.
You’ll need to bring along an old t‑shirt from home – you'll also have the chance to decorate the fabrics.
Decorating resources provided.
This activity is suitable for persons ages 8 to 12.
Parents or guardians must sign in for attendees and stay within the library space for the duration of the activity.
