School Holiday Program, Fly Me To The Moon: Rockets!

These January school holidays, the Chau Chak Wing Museum teams up with Children's Discovery for a special workshop on rockets.
Bring your creativity and enthusiasm for space travel to this unique STEM workshop. Assemble an electronic rocket launch system to safely fire our compressed air canon, and build a rocket to launch faster, higher and stronger. Test your designs in our specially built rocket arena. No experience necessary! Just a love of problem-solving, teamwork and curiosity.
Using the aeronautical models from our current exhibition Micro:Macro we will explore designing, testing and assessing rockets followed by an outside launch of our models.
Suitable for 10-14 year olds. Parents and guardians are requested to stay with their children.
