Revisiting Beauty is a celebration of the native flora found close to home – an ode to the banksias, gum blossoms, and wild pockets of growth that flourish along the verges and in the gardens of Gadigal land.
For years, artist and printmaker Rowan Sivyer has wandered the same neighbourhood streets with her dog, Chilli, observing the seasonal rhythm of familiar plants. The same trees bloom, shed, and bloom again – offering fresh inspiration year after year.
This exhibition brings together a series of bold, hand-printed linocuts and watercolour paintings that honour the quiet drama of Australian flora. Rather than grand landscapes, these are intimate botanical portraits – evidence that beauty doesn’t always require a new horizon. Sometimes it’s waiting for you, just around the corner, again and again.
