Friday 9 October from 10am to 12pm
This special _Craft Circle _gathering invites parents and carers to take a little time out during the season of Sydney Craft Week to create, connect and catch their breath.
Being a parent is one of life’s greatest privileges, but it is also one of its busiest roles.
Between work, school lunches, sporting commitments, homework, family responsibilities and everything else that fills our calendars, it is easy to forget to make a little space for yourself.
That is exactly why we created Craft Circle.
Craft Circle is a welcoming creative circle where parents and carers can enjoy a couple of hours away from the busyness of everyday life. It is a place to slow down, make something with your hands, share a cuppa and spend time with other people who understand the joys and challenges of raising a family.
No artistic talent is required. No experience is necessary. And there is definitely no such thing as “Pinterest perfection.”
Whether you enjoy painting, clay play, knitting, crochet, macramé, collage, watercolours or simply trying something new, you will find a relaxed and supportive space waiting for you.
Every Circle is a little different. Some mornings the room is filled with conversation and laughter. Other mornings people quietly lose themselves in their creativity. Both are equally welcome.
This special Craft Week-inspired session is about celebrating creativity not as something perfect or polished, but as something wonderfully human.
A way to pause. A way to connect. A way to remember that making things with our hands can help us feel a little more grounded in ourselves.
