Join Poetica’s Miriam Hechtman for a writing workshop that uses a selection of prompts to get you writing.

There is something about sitting and writing in community. It’s a different kind of writing experience – the discipline of time, the engagement with participants, the sounds of writing, and the opportunity to share words with others. 

Miriam will bring a selection of prompts to this session. There is quiet writing time. Then a chance to share your words. Then on to the next prompt. And repeat.

Miriam Hechtman is a writer, producer and poet. She is the founder and creative director of Poetica, a live poetry, music and arts initiative, and the editor of The Alphabet of Women (Ginninderra Press 2022). Throughout her working life, Miriam has partnered with artists and creatives to produce significant projects on screen, on the page and in real life. She lives in Sydney with her husband, two daughters, and Poppy the dog.
