As well as being the host of the fortnightly Queer Sketch Club, Guy James Whitworth’s annual exhibitions, often as part of the Mardi Gras festival, are always bursting with both bright, colourful art and keen art collectors. This show is a much, dare we say, more intimate, smaller, scaled-down version of his exhibitions, a series of nude life-drawing sketches at Miss Wolf in Marrickville.

This is not his first exhibition of nudes, although it is his first exhibition to take place in a bar rather than a gallery, as the artist feels that for this exhibition, comprising solely of models from the LGBTQIA+ communities, those same communities should have ease of access to see and experience the works.

He explains, ‘I want to keep these representations of the Queer community within that community to remind them how colourful, fabulous, bold and inspiring they are!’
