The National Poetry Month Gala returns to the State Library of New South Wales featuring some of our finest contemporary poets and spoken word artists, including Kirli SaundersMadison GodfreyNyaluak LethRataj AbdullaMaxine Beneba Clarke, acclaimed journalist and author Stan Grant, and winner of the 2024 NSW Book of the Year Nam Le.

Hosted by much-loved presenter and journalist Jan Fran, the night also sees the likes of actor Heather Mitchell and ABC’s Chair Kim Williams reading their favourite Australian poems, alongside musical performances by Cooee and ARIA-Award winner DOBBY.

Post-show, there will be a pop-up bookshop, bar, and DJ in the Glasshouse foyer.

Presented in partnership with State Library of NSW and The Guardian, supported by City of Sydney and Copyright Agency.
