Wednesday 13 May from 1:15pm to 2pm
St James is delighted to present a lunchtime concert by the internationally renowned organist Colin Andrews.
Born in Bristol and trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Conservatoire de Musique in Geneva under Lionel Rogg and Dame Gillian Weir, Andrews has enjoyed a remarkable global career an organist, recording artist, teacher and lecturer. A performer in the world’s great concert halls, cathedrals and churches, and one of only five organists to have recorded the complete organ works of Olivier Messiaen, he brings both scholarly authority and vivid musical imagination to every performance. His recital at St James promises a compelling encounter between one of the world’s leading organists and the expressive power of the St James’ Dobson Organ, revealing its full colour, clarity and grandeur.
