Simon Tedeschi, George Washingmachine, Jane Rutter

Step into a world of timeless elegance, swing, and charm! Three of Australia’s most captivating performers unite for Gershwin, Porter & more. Concert pianist Simon Tedeschi, celebrated for his versatility from Mozart to Gershwin, shares his lifelong passion for jazz alongside charismatic jazz violinist and vocalist George Washingmachine, a leading light of swing and gypsy jazz. Internationally acclaimed flautist Jane Rutter adds her lyrical warmth and sparkle, with selections from her beloved Gershwin album Embraceable You.

The trio journey through the golden age of American song, embracing the brilliance of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and their contemporaries - music where classical artistry meets the wit, rhythm and heart of jazz. Elegant, spontaneous and full of life, this performance celebrates the timeless joy of melody and magic found in every note.
