Curious about computer-aided design (CAD)? Join this beginner session and learn how to create precise 3D models using Onshape, a powerful cloud-based CAD software program used in engineering, architecture and product design.
This workshop is perfect for adults new to 3D design who want to learn how to create detailed, parametric models for manufacturing, prototyping or 3D printing.
What you’ll learn
How to navigate Onshape’s cloud-based interface
Basics of sketching, extrusions, and parametric modelling
How to create and export 3D designs
Completed designs can be printed through the Library fabrication print service
By the end of the session, you’ll have a solid foundation in CAD modelling and the skills to start designing your own projects.

Cost: $40 full price / $33 concession per person
Bookings and class size: Maximum 8 people – bookings are essential
Suitable for: Suitable for ages 16 and over
Parental permission is required for under 18s
Experience level: This is a beginner workshop with no required knowledge
