Many creatives mistakenly believe platforms like LinkedIn aren’t for them. But in today’s landscape, they’ve evolved into the world’s largest networking event, offering unparalleled opportunities. We invite you to join us!

While some perceive digital marketing tools as “boring” compared to other social media, they are, in fact, fantastic marketing assets, especially for creatives who collaborate with or seek funding from government organisations, peak bodies, councils, businesses, and the educational sector. Our Creative’s Guide to Digital Marketing Tools workshop provides a step-by-step process for creating a standout profile and developing an effective posting strategy. We’ll share insider tricks to make these platforms more creative-friendly. This interactive session is specifically designed for professional creative practitioners to master these digital tools for business growth.

Participants will progress step-by-step through:

  • Profile essentials: mastering basics, including crafting compelling headlines, ‘about sections’ and ‘current positions’.

  • Visual impact: understanding the features of an outstanding profile photo and banner, and how to create them.

  • Expanding your profile: adding crucial extra sections like services, featured content, creator mode, and more.

  • ‘Gig economy’ hacks: strategically adapting the ‘experience’ section to showcase the dynamic nature of a creative practitioner’s career.

  • Quality connections: developing a strategy for making new contacts that prioritises quality over quantity.

  • Visibility and engagement: staying active and prominent through strategic posting, sharing, blogging and other engagement tactics.

This is a hands-on workshop. Participants should come prepared with a basic profile already set up on LinkedIn and bring a laptop to work on. We’ll collaborate, make connections, and brainstorm ideas together throughout the session.

All participants of this workshop also receive:

  • Lifetime access to a Dropbox folder jam-packed with additional resources and helpful links

  • Marketing plan template and action plan template to assist with future marketing
