Festive Season at Hay Street Market

Hay St Market at Paddy’s is celebrating the festive season with a full month of Christmas food, entertainment, and family-friendly activities throughout December 2025. One of Sydney’s must-visit holiday destinations, the market is bringing global Christmas flavours, live music, and themed events to life for visitors of all ages.

Across the entire month, guests can enjoy Hay St’s dedicated Christmas menu featuring classic seasonal favourites including Brown Sugar & Orange Glazed Ham Ciabatta, Roasted Turkey & Pork Belly Sausage Rolls, Prawn Cocktails, Boozy Fruit Mince Tarts, and Christmas Trifles. To complement the festive dishes, the Traders Bar is serving two Christmas cocktails: the indulgent Nutcracker - made with rum, peanut butter whiskey, Frangelico and cream - and the refreshing, spiced Crimson Noel featuring rosemary gin, cranberry, cinnamon, and ginger beer.

Live entertainment forms a major part of the festivities, with Hay St Sounds: Christmas Edition offering daily themed performances, carollers, and seasonal music until 21 December. On 6–7 December, the program will feature Hay St Sounds: Country Style, bringing a country spin to the holiday atmosphere with family-friendly performances. The celebrations continue on 20 December with Hay St Sounds Special: A Very Bublé Christmas, showcasing Michael Bublé’s iconic Christmas hits and beloved holiday classics.

Families can take part in the Elf on the Shelf Treasure Hunt from 10–21 December, where children can search the market to find five hidden elves and enjoy a complimentary ice cream upon completion. The Hay St Kids program adds further fun with face painting, Christmas cookie decorating, and a bookable wreath-making workshop held across two weekends (12–14 and 19–21 December).

Adding to the festive spirit, Hay St Market will host an Ugly Christmas T-Shirt & Jumper Party on 19 December, featuring Christmas movie trivia, entertainment, and prizes, ideal for groups of friends, families or colleagues seeking a lively seasonal outing.
