Saturdays, 10am to 2pm Saturday 5 July to Saturday 19 July
From the Creative Writing Course: Fairy Tales & Lore, we learn that:
A fairy tale is a type of short story that typically features fantasy or magical elements, such as talking animals, enchanted objects, and supernatural beings. These stories often convey a moral or lesson and have been passed down through oral tradition. Fairy tales can be set in either the real world or a fantasy realm and frequently involve a quest or journey.
This workshop is designed to teach participants about the traditional elements of fairy tales, including characters, structures, history, and themes. Through a series of lessons and exercises, participants will learn about these elements and how to use them in their own writing. After learning about these traditional elements, participants will be guided through the process of writing and creating their own original fairy tale story. The workshop is suitable for adults (aged 16+ years) and is designed to give participants the skills and knowledge they need to write their own fairy tales and develop their creativity.
