City of Sydney Pickleball Championship 2025

Tournament Description

The City of Sydney Pickleball Championship 2025 is the first of its kind hosted by City of Sydney. The tournament will be held at Perry Park Recreation Centre in Alexandria on Saturday 11 October 2025. We welcome and will be accommodating events for all levels of players from beginners to advanced. All events are doubles only and medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Registration is only $60 per team.

Matches won’t be recorded in DUPR, however, a DUPR grading guide can be found below to help you select your event level. City of Sydney staff reserve the right to re-grade any teams found registered in events below or above their event level. Please note you do not require a DUPR rating to register. We encourage all new and beginner players! Events may be merged based on registration.

• Beginner: 2.99 DUPR and below or no DUPR

• Novice: 3.00 - 3.49 DUPR

• Intermediate: 3.50 - 3.99 DUPR

• Advanced: 4.00 DUPR and above

Venue

Perry Park Recreation Centre is a modern indoor facility that includes 16 pickleball courts. There is a kiosk where you can purchase drinks, fruit, snacks and coffee. No hot food will be available. Multiple changerooms, bathrooms and showers are located throughout the facility.

Parking

There is no designated centre parking. There is free street parking located on Maddox Street, Euston Road and surrounding streets. We encourage all players to take public transport where possible.

Match Play

All events are doubles format. Players will be guaranteed at least 3-4 matches per event. Round robin matches will be first to 11 points, win by 2. Semi-final and bronze medal matches will be first to 15 points, win by 2. Gold medal matches will be best of 3 games, first to 11 points, win by 2. Event start times will be confirmed after registration closes. Referees will control medal matches where possible. Yellow Onix Fuse Indoor balls will be used for all events.

Registration

Please follow the link to register your team at no cost. Once you have registered you have 7 days to make the $60 team payment. Please call Perry Park Recreation Centre on 9265 9182 to make card payment over the phone. One player is to make registration and payment for each team (no split payments). Only once payment has been made will your team's spot be secured. Registration closes midnight Thursday 2 October 2025.

Refund Policy

Full refunds will be provided to any players who withdraw before close of registration. Once registration closes, no refunds will be issued.

Please note this is not a Pickleball NSW affiliated event. There is no injury insurance provided and players participate at their own risk.
