Wednesday 22 October from 10am to 10:45am
Real adventures and imagined friends – step into a world of imagination with this creative writing workshop. Students will explore real-life adventures from the State Library’s collections and use them as inspiration to invent their own make-believe characters.
In this session, we’ll focus on character building – transforming historical moments into imaginative stories told from a sidekick’s perspective. Students will create original characters they can develop further in their own writing.
This workshop is suitable for Stage 2 and 3 students (children aged 8-12). Children will need two sheets of blank A4 paper.
This online workshop will be held on Zoom. You will receive the link to join when you register. For help using Zoom, go here.
