Artist-2-Artist: Tax for Artists and Creatives

This Artist-2-Artist offers clear, practical guidance on tax essentials for artists and creative freelancers. Together with Red, you'll cover ABNs, grants, deductions, and GST to help you manage income confidently and stay compliant. Participants will leave with simple tools to organise records, understand their obligations, and approach tax season with ease.

About Red Rey

Red Rey is a multi-disciplinary artist based between Paris and Sydney, with work spanning across performance art, DJing and event production. As a tax agent they are a Chartered Accountant with 15 years of experience with the Australian taxation system. With particular knowledge in arts/entertainment, rental properties and assisting small/medium businesses of all industries. As a performance artist, they explore the duality of transformation, the interplay between positive/negative metamorphosis and social critique interwoven with personal narratives. As a DJ, their curation ranges between hot-girl techno and global queer sounds.
